Google Wave Invite Competition

Podcast 17 is holding a competition in which a Half-Life/Valve/etc. related team — or maybe multiple small teams — can win second generation Google Wave invites for their members.

Podcast 17 is holding a competition in which a Half-Life/Valve/etc. related team — or maybe multiple small teams — can win second generation Google Wave invites for their members.

After giving invites to the Podcast 17 team and a few other people William had 11 invites remaining. So rather than give them to random individuals, he came up with the idea of giving them to a team/s who could actually make use of them.

The premise is simple. Have one of your team leaders send an email titled “Google Wave invite competition” to competitions@podcast17.com telling us:

  • What your team is called.
  • How many members your team has.
  • What your team does/develops/creates.
  • Why you deserve Wave more than the other entrants.

The why can be anything, but we suggest something relevant. e.g. What you hope to do with Google Wave as a team.

We aren’t picky about what you actually do, so long as your teams primary focus is related to Valve/Half-Life or developed using Valve’s GoldSrc and/or Source engines.

William and Phillip will go through the entries on Saturday 28th November and pick the best one. If your mod team is larger than 11 people then we will only be able to invite 11 members of your team.

Btw, if someone has Google Wave invites to spare and would like to give them to a team which fits the above description, send us an email and we’ll put you in touch with any teams who enter, but don’t get our invites.
