Third Anniversary Competition Idea

During last week’s recording Ultimate lol asked if we’d be doing anything special for our third birthday, such as a big contest. We didn’t know if we’d have anything to give away so he suggested asking listeners to gift their extra games as prizes — generously offering to gift one of his own.

During last week’s recording Ultimate lol asked if we’d be doing anything special for our third birthday, such as a big contest. We didn’t know if we’d have anything to give away so he suggested asking listeners to gift their extra games as prizes — generously offering to gift one of his own (The Ball, Braid or Audiosurf).

If you’d like to offer one of your extra copies/gifts as a prize let us know, either by responding below or emailing us at feedback@podcast17.com. A list of Unsent giftable games on your Steam account can be found under “Games > Manage Gifts and Guest Passes…” in the Steam client.

Update: Don’t gift the games to the email address above, just tell us which game/s you’d like to offer as prizes. We’ll tell you who to gift the game/s to when the time comes.
It may be possible to use Steam Trading to transfer games temporarily, which would be a cleaner option, but I’m not 100% certain yet so I’m waiting for William to confirm.

Our third birthday episode is #156, this leaves around a month for us to decide exactly how to give the games away and, hopefully, receive enough game offers to have more than one recipient.

We’d love for this to be a community competition/event, so if you have any ideas feel free to post them below — the only thing decided so far is that you offer games and then gift them to whoever we say, so go nuts.

Thank you for helping us help you help us all.

Hey,

You can always use steamgifts.com to setup a private giveaway type deal… very nice site and I know the people that run it, they check out (it’s legit).
